The New York Yankees are tied one game a piece with the gritty Kansas City Royals.  Their manager Matt Quatraro is a great guy and is local and just look at what he has done with this Royals team who lost over 100 games last year.  Now this season has been a compete turnaround in all of the right ways.  Game Three is set for Wednesday Night and it is a pivotal game in this series.  The Royals will be hosting their first playoff game in nine years so the atmosphere will be crazy.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

The one big concern you to have about the New York Yankees is their lack of offense. Aaron Judge is a great regular season player who will end up in the Hall of Fame, but he doesn't hit in postseason at least not yet. The team doesn't produce with runners in scoring position and that needs to change starting Wednesday with game 3 of their ALDS in Kansas City or they will find themselves in big trouble against a team they have three times the payroll. The bullpen has it figured out and Gerrit Cole will step up and return to ace like form in his next start, but it doesn't matter if the Yankees can't hit and score enough runs.

I like the Yankees to win game three but boy does Aaron Judge need to snap out of his slump and fast if the Yankees want to go far into the postseason.
