Yankees Sweep Twins And Advance To ALCS

The New York Yankees have swept the Minnesota Twins and punched their tickets to the American League Championship Series. The Twins smashed the single season Team Home Run record this year and won 101 games this season. None of that was enough to stop the Yankees.

The Yankees outscored the Twins 23 - 7 in this three game sweep of the ALDS. The Yankees starting rotation was under the microscope coming into this series and did enough to get the Yankees to the ALCS. The picture above is an amazing 9th inning catch from Sir Didi Gregorius. The Bronx bombers will now wait for the winner of the other ALDS series where the Houston Astros currently lead the Tampa Bay Rays 2 - 1. Game one of the ALCS is scheduled for Saturday, October 12th.
