This is one of the oddest batting stances that you will see.  It's a good thing that this player is young.  It's hard to envision an old guy rocking out this stance.

Coastal Carolina DH Alex Buccilli definitely has a unique batting stance.  The guy looks like he's using the bat to scratch the mother of all itches on his back as he nearly kneels on the ground.  Buccilli's stance is actually pretty standard just before he hits the ball.  However, he utilizes a very unique (and very odd) stance once he gets into the batter's box.

There is no way that Alex Buccilli will be able to use this stance if he has a long career in baseball.  This is definitely a young man's stance.  I wonder if the same will be true for Albert Pujols.  While Pujols doesn't get as near to the ground as Buccilli, he relies on his legs so much that I wonder what effect Pujols' stance will have on his production late in his career.
