Long before the sports world was brought to a screeching halt, Gaming Law and Sports Betting Attorney Daniel Wallach was pushing New York State to allow mobile betting. So far he's had little luck convincing the state governing body including governor Andrew Cuomo that there's no need for any laws to change to allow mobile wagering. The question is now with the state bending laws to support local restaurants and bars would it be more willing to allow mobile betting if it could help casinos like Rivers in Schenectady stay profitable during quarantine?

Daniel Wallach has been arguing the lack of a need of constitutional amendment for years but thinks there could be hope for the amendment now. There' an in-depth report being compiled by Spectrum Gaming Group that would show the exact amount of money the state of New York could make on legalized mobile wagering.

If you want to help move the mobile wagering process along Wallach says start to email Chairman of the Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr and the rest of the committee. It could be a slow process but according to Wallach, emails to this committee sped up Daily Fantasy Sports.
