Danes in “One Shining Moment”

OK, it's brief. It's the smallest of cameos, and if you blink fast, you may miss it.

But UAlbany did make a brief appearance at the beginning of the CBS tradition, "One Shining Moment," which shows clips of some of the best moments of the NCAA tournament following the national championship game.

UAlbany won the America East title for the second straight season before getting sent to a NCAA "First Four" game against Mount Saint Mary's. The Danes won that game before falling to top-seeded Florida in the second round.

Being put in a "First Four" game put the Danes in a position to be easily forgotten. But with the appearance in "One Shining Moment," however brief, UAlbany will always be remembered.
