The University at Albany men's basketball team saw its season end in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) on Tuesday night as they lost to Ohio, 94-90, in overtime.

Despite questions about whether or not he would play with a shoulder injury, standout guard Evan Singletary led the way with 19 points and played an astounding 41 minutes.

Ray Sanders, also playing in his final game, had 15 points behind Singletary. Freshman Joe Cremo had 11 while junior Mike Rowley had 16.

Playing in his final game as a member of the Purple and Gold, Peter Hooley had eight points including a late 3-pointer that helped send it to overtime.

UAlbany finishes the year at 24-9. The Danes had made the NCAA Tournament three consecutive years after winning three straight conference titles.

It's hard to see the careers of Hooley, Singletary and Sanders end. Hooley played on all three of tournament teams, including hitting the improbable three to win the league title a season ago.
