In the final test before this weekend's Albany Cup game, the UAlbany men's basketball team rolled another MAAC opponent, topping Marist 75-53 on the road in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday night.

The win moves UAlbany to 7-3 overall.

The Danes led by just four at the half, but exploded for 43 points in the second stanza. Three Danes were in double-figures as Ray Sanders led all scorers with 18. The backcourt was in charge of the scoring on Wednesday, as Evan Singletary had 17 and Joe Cremo had 16.

Peter Hooley had seven.

UAlbany shot 49 percent for the game and a nice 46 percent from behind-the-arc. The Danes dominated the game on the glass, outrebounding the Red Foxes 47-24.

The biggest issue that UAlbany had was the turnovers. They turned it over 16 times in all.

The Danes take a five-game winning streak into the Albany Cup meeting with Siena (6-4). That game is 7:30 p.m. at the Times Union Center and should draw more than 10,000 people.
