David Garrard is now a member of the Miami Dolphins in the tough AFC East, but he has not yet been given the starting position.  He has been told that he has an opportunity to compete for the position,  but no telling who his other competition will be yet.   So far he'll only be going up against Matt Moore, but Miami was also interested in San Francisco quarterback Alex Smith, but no telling if they will sign him.

Garrard missed the 2011 season after being cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Despite several teams having an interest in bringing him in, Garrard elected to miss the season and have surgery on a herniated disk and get ready for the 2012 season.
