Derrick Rose Being Sued For Rape

Late Wednesday night, TMZ reported that Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose is being sued by an anonymous woman for drugging her and gang rape, that included Rose and two friends.

The woman who has not been identified dated the ex MVP from 2011 to 2013.  During that

time, Rose allegedly tried to pressure her to allow him to have sex with her friends and engage in group sex with strangers, all of which she says she refused.

Rose's attorney was fast to act, and is denying all allegaions. Rose's attorney Lisa Cohen told TMZ Sports the lawsuit is "an attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete."  Rose who has been sidelined multiple times for knee injuries in the past three years, and believes this will be dismissed immediately. "We have complete confidence that the case will be dismissed and that Mr. Rose will be vindicated. This lawsuit is outrageous."Cohen says,

Rose's representatives would go on to say that the two did have a non-exclusive relationship.  Mr. Rose was in a non-exclusive, consensual sexual relationship with the plaintiff for over two years."

With Rose focused on getting back to MVP form, and the Bulls set to make another run to NBA glory, this needs to get resolved sooner than later. We have seen with athletes in the past how being dragged through the mud during the season takes a toll on you mentally.
