Some say being on the road for Christmas for athletes is a bad thing. Some say it is a good thing as there isn't the holiday distractions. Either way it is never good to lose at any time or any place. The Devils started their four game roadie with a loss in Bridgeport Wednesday night 4-3.

Matt Donovan's goal halfway through the third period snapped a 3-3 tie and led the Sound Tigers to victory.

Unlike many games this season Albany came off the ice after the first period with the lead 2-1. Mike Sislo and Mattias Tedenby scored in the opening 20 minutes. With red hot goaltender Keith Kincade in the net the Devils had to be feeling good. That feeling didn't last but another 20 minutes of play.

Bridgeport came marching back in the second period. Donovan scored his first of two goals getting the Sound Tigers going and Casey Cizikis who also scored a pair for the Sound Tigers both beat Kincade in the second to put their club up 3-2. However the Devils struck back before the end of the period. Matt Anderson scored at 15:39 to knot the contest at three going into intermission.

Kincade who entered the game with a personal five game winning streak kept the game tied until, with just over seven minutes left, Cizikis scored for the game winner. Albany out shot Bridgeport 34-30 for the contest.

The Devils will continue their holiday road trip by heading off the Norfolk for a pair of weekend games  starting Friday in a two game set against the Norfolk Admirals. Face-off is set for 7.30 p.m.
