The Siena Saints and Albany Great Danes men's basketball teams tip off their seasons later this month. Both teams are hoping to win their conference tournament and advance to the NCAA Tournament in March. Although the college hoops season has yet to tip off, ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi has released his preseason bracket and it does not include Albany or Siena. Both the Saints and Great Danes play in conferences that have been historically not receiving at large bids. As a result, the conference tournament champion is likely the league's representative for the tournament. Last year Lunardi predicted sixty five of the sixty eight teams in his mock NCAA tournament released just hours before the NCAA's selection committee's results. Lunardi correctly predicted thirty four teams on their exact seed line and sixty teams within a one seed line difference. Below is a link to Lunardi's first mock bracket of the season. Selection Sunday is March 12th, 2017.
