If the Jimmer Fredette era is over in New York, it ended with a flurry. With the Knicks getting blown out again last night by Portland, the fans were chanting for Jimmer to enter the game all night.

He finally got in with just over three minutes left and immediately contributed two free throws after drawing contact through the lane.

He also got to the rim and made a nice pass to Kyle O'Quinn, who kicked it out for a jumper instead.

And then, at the end of the game, Fredette tried to take a shot at the buzzer from the 3-point line when he was fouled by Blazers big man Meyers Leonard.

Leonard took offense to Fredette trying to score with no time left in a blowout and Fredette looked at him with a quizzical expression.

Fredette is right. The losing team is allowed to shoot in garbage time. Leonard apologized on Twitter.

If Fredette is finished in New York and is not given another 10-day contract, he finishes with seven points in just over five minutes of play.
