There are impressive defensive plays in baseball every night. But rarely are there plays comparable to what Chicago White Sox pitcher Francisco Liriano pulled off last night, stopping a come backer by making an unreal between the legs catch while facing away from the ball.

When I first saw the play, and had no idea what was going to happen, I started to cringe. I thought for sure that the ball was going to hit him in a region that any gentleman doesn't want to be hit. Fortunately for Liriano, and fans of great defensive plays, I was wrong.
