Glens Falls native Jimmer Fredette is a favorite son of the Capital Region because of what he does on the basketball court. He excelled at Glens Falls and at BYU before making it to the NBA. Armed with a great shot and a dizzying array of moves around the basket, Fredette is arguably the best player to ever come out of the Capital Region.

But Fredette also impresses off the floor through the work he does with his foundation: The Fredette Family Foundation.

Jimmer and his family seek to stop bullying in schools and communities around the Capital Region and he has a number of programs set up each year to help achieve this goal.

Earlier today, I got to speak with Blair GIles, President of the foundation, about what made Jimmer get involved in the anti-bullying cause, what events are coming up, how you can help Jimmer spread his message, and who helped Jimmer decide to make this difference.
