Sometimes, the simplest things get overlooked; like knowing which basket is yours.  Check out this embarrassing video of a kid scoring the winning hoop for his opponent.

It's never a good thing to score the winning basket for the wrong team.  Well, maybe you could tell a girl who didn't see the game that you once scored a game-winning basket (while conveniently leaving out the part about it being for the wrong team).  That might actually work.

Anyway, Norcross was taking on Charlotte Christian in the 2012 Hilton Invitational in Georgia.  The Norcross Blue Devils were trailing 57-56 in the final seconds.  Ryan Potocnik of Charlotte Christian got confused and scores the go-ahead bucket, which turned out to be the game-winning basket, for the wrong team.  Whoops.  Norcross went on to win the game 60-57.

You have to fault the kid who inbounded the ball to Potocnik also.  He forgot which basket was theirs also.  Luckily for him, he can magically fade into the background.  He wasn't the one who actually made the winning basket for the wrong team.  No one will remember the inbound guy.
