Stop me if you've heard this one before, a member of the New York Yankees has been placed on the MLB Injured List. Last night's Yankee win over the Minnesota Twins was one of the most exciting games of this season and now the bad news. Catcher Gary Sanchez suffered a groin Injury and has been placed on the 10 day IL.

Sanchez had been struggling of late at the plate but his defense has been big for the Yankees. Sanchez was injured in the eighth inning of last nights game while stepping on first base. “I felt it after I stepped on the base,” Sanchez said through a translator. “It felt kind of like a cramp. It’s nothing like what I had last year. The pain is completely different.”

The Yankees have optioned right-hander Jonathan Holder to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and also recalled catcher Kyle Higashioka and left-hander Nestor Cortes Jr. from triple A.
