It was the Giants top priority to sign linebacker Jon Beason before free agency began on Tuesday.

The G-Men couldn't make it happen as the 29-year old wanted to test free agency for the first time, representing himself.

It's a testament to the Giants that Beason spoke with Denver but in the end, wanted to be with Big Blue!

After injuries held him back for several years, Beason was traded in October to the Giants and instantly began a starter on the depth chart and the play caller for the defense.

It's a victory for the Giants who didn't have to overpay pre-free agency. They allowed Beason to shop himself around and it paid off, literally.
