Goz’s Top 25 College Football Rankings (Week 10)
For the third consecutive season,I will be providing my own personal Top 25 poll each week during the college football season. My poll philosophy all season long will remain the same and that is by ranking the teams I believe are the best twenty-five best in the country following that given week’s games. Below are my rankings and comments about each week’ biggest shake-up and changes. Do you agree or disagree? Let me know below or on Twitter @TomGozz
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Notre Dame
- LSU
- Michigan
- Georgia
- Oklahoma
- UCF
- Ohio State
- Washington State

- Penn State
- Texas
- Florida

Why did Washington State and Kentucky jump Penn State?-Last week I had 2 loss Penn State ranked higher than Washington and Kentucky, The reason for the change this week is because Washington State and Kentucky looked better in wins than Penn State. I've in past polls had Iowa lower than the average AP voter. Kentucky won as a seven point under dog on the road in the SEC on the last place of the year against Missouri. Washington State did not feel the effects of College Gameday as they won on a game winning drive on the road against Stanford. The Cougars and Wildcats did enough to make the move up the poll.
Syracuse finally makes the Top 25! For the first time in three years doing the poll, the Syracuse Orange make the Top 25! This is the first time in seventeen years Syracuse as a program has been ranked. My ranking is a bit higher than the AP standing of 22 for a few reasons. Syracuse is a 4th down stop and a Pittsburgh overtime loss away from being undefeated (sure they are also a play away from losing to North Carolina at home). Plus Syracuse's quality wins are better than those teams below them (Houston, Fresno State, Virginia and Boston College)
Can LSU beat Alabama?- No.
Fine I'll write more about the game- Other people have told me "Never doubt the Tigers at night at home". True. Coach O has been GREAT for the program although some LSU fans want him fired after every single loss. I don't think LSU has the talent to hang with this year's Alabama team.
