To vaccinate or not to vaccinate, that is the question. For some it is a clear decision and they are sticking to it. Others may say, "what's in it for me"?

The state of New York has had several incentive plans in place to encourage residents to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Offers of lottery tickets, NFL merchandise, pre-paid debit cards and much more. Now the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is offering "Happy Meals" to inmates!

According to Syracuse.com, the DOCCS revealed the latest program to incentivize the incarcerated. Get vaccinated by December 8, 2021 and you will get to enjoy access to a menu that would include pizza or McDonalds. This literally brings the "Hamburglar" character to life.

WWNY shared details of a memo from acting DOCCS Commissioner Anthony J. Annucci which states that any presently unvaccinated person in the prisons could choose from a vendor local to their facility. They can spend up to $10 per prisoner and items include non-pork products. If the DOCCS facilities are able to get the rates up by 10% or more, inmates will enjoy a special roast beef Christmas dinner.

To further encourage more acceptance of the vaccine, the department will offer another incentive program for all those presently unvaccinated individuals, who get partially or fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021, This incentive program will include a pared down menu, such as pizza or McDonald’s, from a local vendor in your area. - Commissioner Anthony J. Annucci

To be fair to McDonalds, the Hamburglar was retired in the early 2000's but brought back as a family man in 2015 and then he disappeared again. Until now perhaps?
