It's a pretty universal realization that Shenendehowa senior guard Kevin Huerter is the best player in the Capital Region.

After leading Shenendehowa to the Class AA state title in 2014-15, the Plainsmen are out to a 15-0 record (12-0 Suburban Council) this season. Huerter is leading the way with 21.1 points per game. It could be higher, but as Shen continues to blow teams out, he isn't even playing most fourth quarters.

Huerter has already committed to play his college ball at the University of Maryland. What makes him a good fit for the Terps? We found out from Terrapins assistant coach Dustin Clark today.

He told us about Huerter's qualities on and off the court that made him a desirable recruit and talked about his role when he enters the program.

Furthermore, Clark took us through Huerter's recruitment process and answered the question: Will we have a Maryland-Siena game in which we can see Kevin vs. his brother over the next four years?
