It would be a major mistake for the Sacramento Kings to trade away Kevin Huerter at the NBA trade deadline coming up on Thursday February 8th.  He is a dynamic player who defends at a high level and shoots the three ball with the best of them when he is red hot.  The Kings are competitive as ever in the Western Conference and and have a good deep team but I believe trading Huerter would hurt them especially in the long run.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

The NBA trading deadline is right around the corner but there is no way the Sacramento Kings will trade Kevin Huerter. Head coach Mike Brown needs to realize the only way the Kings can win games is by putting up big numbers offensively and Huerter needs to be in the starting lineup and okay Māori minutes for that to happen. He's not going to score 31 points like he did last Thursday every night out, but the Shen grads three pout shot is a weapon the Kings need to rely on if they're going to make the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Sacramento is not a good defensive team but that's not how they were built. The pay Huerter Millions to make three pointers and it needs to stay that way in Sacramento.

Kevin Huerter will continue to play strong here down the stretch and he was a major part of their playoff run last season.  We will always follow Kev no matter where he ends up as we love our local players.
