Huerter Set For National 3-Pt Contest

Shen basketball star Kevin Huerter has taken his talents to Houston this weekend for the National High School 3-Point Contest.

The broadcast will air on Sunday at 3:30 on CBS. Huerter averaged more than 21 points a game this season for Shen and helped lead the Plainsmen to their second consecutive Section II Championship.

Shen fell just shy of winning its second straight state championship, losing in the NYS Final Four to Aquinas.

Huerter is committed to Maryland next season. He had more than 20 Division I offers, including Albany, Siena, Baylor, Texas Tech, Marquette, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Penn State.
