Right handed pitcher Ian Anderson has done nothing but turn heads in the Atlanta Braves organization. The former Shen standout has delivered every time out, and if that continues look for Anderson to end up in Double-A before the season is out. Anderson is considered one of the Braves top pitching prospects and all he does is validate him being their top pick in 2016. Safe to say, he’s ahead of expectations.

In 13 innings this season, Anderson has 23 strikeouts including 2 of former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow on Wednesday. Despite striking out 7 batters in 4 innings of work, the two 1st inning runs allowed by Anderson ended up keeping him on the hook for his first loss of 2017. The 18-year old righty has an ERA under 2.00 and in a farm system rich with pitching talent, the Shen grad is quickly climbing the charts.
