The New York Yankees finish up their 2019 regular season schedule this week. While the Bronx Bombers may or may not clinch home field advantage during the playoffs, one positive sign from September has been the pitching performance of Luis Severino.

This past Sunday, Severino looked dominant on the mound for the Yankees against Toronto. In five innings of work, Severino totaled nine strkeouts with no walks or earned runs. In eighty pitches, Severino allowed just three hits to the Blue Jays. The Toronto offense did have either one of their young play makers in the lineup. (Vlad Guerrero Jr or Bo Bichette) but none the less, after not pitching for close to a year Severino looked great.
