I love to see both Jeff Hoffman and Tommy Kahnle getting off to great starts to this early and young 2025 season.  Hoffman is now the closer for the Toronto Blue Jays and has already been lights out.  And Kahnle has been pitching very nicely in his new home in Detroit.  They are both very high leverage relievers who succeed in big moments.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

It's still very early but both Shaker grads are off to good starts with their new teams. Jeff Hoffman has performed at a high level in his new role as the closer of the Toronto Blue Jays. Tommy Kahnle has been very effective coming out of the bullpen for the Detroit Tigers and his addition makes the Tigers a much better team. Not sure what it is about Shaker, but they have success on the mound. This year the Shaker high school team has three players who will pitch for Division One teams in college. It's rare to have two players from the same high school pitching in the Major Leagues, but that's the case with Hoffman and Kahnle. And the Blue Jays and Tigers could both be playoff teams.

I expect both to be potential American League All Stars with how great they have been so far and throughout their careers really.  I have really enjoyed covering them with their new respective teams and can't wait to continue it during the rest of this 2025 Major League Baseball season.
