This is certainly by far and away the most talented team that UAlbany head coach Dwayne Killings has had now in his fourth season at the helm.  He arguably has his deepest team yet too.  They are about to wrap up their non conference season and are off to a 7-6 overall start.  It's been an up and down consistent year so far but if this UAlbany team fully clicks, than they will be tough to beat in the America East Conference.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

UAlbany Men's basketball team has two non-conference games left before the real season begins. The Great Danes who got a much-needed win at Sacred Heart on Wednesday snapping a three-game losing streak play at Fordham and host Stony Brook before we find out how the Great Danes will do in the America East Conference. It's been a mixed bag so far this season, but it's a team that has enough talent to be one of the top 5 teams in the conference. Can UAlbany defend and rebound on a consistent basis? The Great Danes have enough players who can score the basket to win in the America East Conference. The Tune-up is just about over because conference play begins Jan 4th against UMass Lowell at Broadview Center.

Next up for the Great Danes will be the Fordham Rams on Saturday afternoon.  It should be a tough road test but you would love to get the win to keep the momentum going here.
