Reports are out that, at least two teams have approached the New York Jets about trading for defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson. Wilkerson has not been in attendance at the Jets voluntary workouts. Wilkerson is currently holding out for a new contract. Wilkerson is scheduled to make $6.96 million, the amount of his fifth-year option, this season.

The Jets, who pick No. 6 Thursday, could be in position to land top defensive-line prospect Leonard Williams in the draft. Wilkerson has recorded 24.5 sacks over his first four seasons.

You can't blame Wilkerson for wanting to get paid, he's a 25 years old entering the prime of his career, and has seen his team splash money on players that didn't commit to the team in the past. The Jets signed Darrelle Revis for a five-year, $70 million contract, and Antonio Cromartie for  four-years, $32 million contract.
