Did The New York Jets Get Their GM And Head Coach Hires Right?
The New York Jets now have their new general manager and head coach. They chose a 39 year old assistant GM Darren Mougey who is a former player and comes over from the Denver Broncos. And they hired Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn as their new head coach. I personally love the Glenn hire on paper of course. I'm not too sure yet about Mougey. But the million dollar question will still remain what is Aaron Rodgers going to do? Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
Very interesting hire by the New York Jets when they announced Darren Mougey as their General Manager on Saturday. The Jets have not made the playoffs in 14 years, but they hired Mougey who is only 39-year-olds no GM experience. He has been the assistant GM of the Denver Broncos but that's not the same. Mougey has never worked with new Jets head coach Arron Glen which also raises a few questions. The Jets have had nine straight losing seasons, not sure why you would hire a GM without a proven track record. Only time will tell if Mougey is the right choice for the job, but his first order of business will be to decide if Aaron Rodgers should return as the starting quarterback.

Aaron Glenn has stated that he is open to the idea of Rodgers coming back but their personalities might clash. Hopefully the new regime will make things better for the Jet fans and the organization as a whole.
