Sam Darnold and optimism returned simultaneously on Sunday as the Jets got their first win of the season. It's no coincidence, of course. In year two, Darnold has established himself as the franchise quarterback, not simply by his second overall draft position, but by his play.

After three weeks of looking lost on offense, the Jets play-calling and playmakers woke up in the 24-22 win over the Cowboys. Jamison Crowder re-emerged as a viable slot option. Robby Anderson rediscovered his big play potential. And an offensive line that appeared to be in disrepair solidified itself. There is one common denominator in all of this: Sam Darnold.

There is little time for the Jets to celebrate as a Monday night matchup with the undefeated Patriots looms. ESPN NFL reporter Rich Cimini joined Big Board Sports on Monday morning to react to the Jets' first win of 2019.
