The Buffalo Bills are still two months away from the start of training camp at St. John Fisher in Rochester.

Until then, the Bills are training on their own, but also attending organized team activities, which are routinely voluntary. They're a way to get the players in the building to build chemistry with new staff and fellow players, along with staying crisp in play on the field.

Mandatory minicamp will be held June 14-16.

The Bills kicked off another OTA on Tuesday, but one player was notably absent from the facility, and it happens to be one of the most important players on the defense, who was ranked number one in 2021.

Safety Jordan Poyer was not present today at Bills OTA's in Orchard Park.

Head coach Sean McDermott said that "business is business" and they are focusing on the players who are there.

Poyer switched agents in the off-season. Poyer is now represented by famous agent, Drew Rosenhaus.

Rosenhaus has represented numerous high-profile NFL players over the last 25+ years and the change makes fans and media speculate that Poyer wants a new extension.

He's entering the final year of his current contract. He has a base salary of $5.6 million with a cap hit over $10.7 million.

Poyer is 31 years old, but he is underpaid for his performance of the last two seasons, plus this might be the last crack at a big contract for the veteran safety.

We will have to wait and see if he gets an extension or whether or not he decided to skip minicamp in June and the start of training camp in July...
