With the Fourth of July fast approaching, there are a ton of fireworks shows to choose from in the Albany area. Never fear, however, because we're here to put together a list of the very best ones so that you can get ready for the one closest to you, or start a new tradition and head to another show in the area.

New York State's Fourth Of July Celebration

The most prominent Fourth of July party in the area, held at the capital at the corner of Eagle St. and Madison Ave., this celebration features live music, food, vendors and, of course, a fantastic fireworks display upon nightfall. If you've never attended, it's something we highly recommend you check out at least once.

Independence Day With The Tri-City ValleyCats

There are few things more American than watching America's pastime, baseball, on the Fourth. Throwing in fireworks, though? That certainly qualifies, and the Tri-City Valleycats will be illuminating Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy both before and after their 6:30 p.m. game against the Lowell Spinners with a fireworks display immediately following the game.

Lake George Fireworks At Shepard's Park

Lake George is such a beautiful place, making celebrating our independence there a fantastic idea. The Village of Lake George will be putting on a fireworks display from Shepard's Park, the first of many fireworks shows in Lake George this summer, as there will be fireworks every Thursday during the months of July and August.

Saratoga's All-American Celebration

Rated one of the best small town Fourth of July celebrations in America by ABC News, the All-American Celebration in Saratoga is a tradition unlike any other. In addition to a fireworks show at dusk, the event will feature live music from the Audiostars, fun attractions for kids, and tours of the city. This is an event that needs to be checked off of anyone's Albany area bucket list.
