The Buffalo Bills are in full offseason mode now, as they continue to evaluate future roster decisions for the next few months, but also, finalize what the coaching staff will look like in 2022.

As most Bills fans know by now, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll was hired last week as the new head coach of the New York Giants. Daboll had been the offensive coordinator since 2018, and had worked with quarterback Josh Allen that entire time.

The man that many fans wanted to be the new offensive coordinator, had officially been named the new OC.

According to the Bills press release, quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator, Ken Dorsey, has been promoted to offensive coordinator for the Bills.

Dorsey has been with the Bills since 2019 as their quarterbacks coach, and had been a right-hand man for Josh Allen on the sideline since the start of the 2019 season.

Dorsey's been an NFL coach since 2013, and was a seventh-round draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2003. Dorsey was a quarterback for the 49ers and Cleveland Browns from 2003-2008. He turned to coaching after his playing career.

Dorsey is best known to many football fans as the star quarterback of the Miami Hurricanes, where he set nearly every passing record for the University of Miami, and was Heisman Trophy finalist. Dorsey led the Hurricanes to an undefeated 2002 regular season.

Dorsey worked with Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane while with the Carolina Panthers as well.

Josh Allen is a huge champion of Dorsey, and while Daboll and the Giants would have loved Dorsey to be the OC there, it's a huge win for the Bills that he's back with the Bills as their OC.

The Bills offensive system can remain similar to what they have run the last two seasons, and this will allow the Bills to keep a coach that their superstar quarterback respects and adores.

Huge win for the Bills. Dorsey is also becoming a fan-favorite in the City of Buffalo.
