Legal Sports Wagering Coming To The Rivers Casino In 2019?

According to reports The Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY will be offering legal sports wagering in 2019. The Turning Stone would become the first establishment in the New York State area to allow legalized sports gambling. According to syracuse.com two things need to happen before it becomes finalized.

The National Indian Gaming Commission finishes its review.

The New York state Gaming Commission releases regulations, which the Oneida nation would adopt.

The time table for how long the two above reviews and regulations has not been reported.

Six years ago, a state law was put into place that when sports betting became legal, it could be offered at the four new non-Indian nation casinos that have opened across Upstate New York since December 2016. One of those four casinos includes the Rivers Casino here in the Capital Region.
