Le’Veon Bell Agrees To Join the Jets
Just hours after Odell Beckham Jr finds out he's leaving MetLife, Le'Veon Bell agrees to call the stadium home but not with the Giants. The biggest free-agent target in this offseason has agreed to a reported 4 year $52.5 Million deal to become a New York Jet.
The Jets have been very active this off season adding players like former Ravens' Linebacker CJ Mosley and Vikings LB Anthony Barr, only to find out that Barr would in fact not be joining them after all. With the news that potentially the best running back in the NFL will now be in the backfield with QB Sam Darnold, the Barr news will fade into obscurity. Bell and the Jets have agreed to a deal that will average just over $13 million a year with $35 million guaranteed and a potential to max out at $61 million. Not a bad haul for a player that took a year off but even with the chance to max at $15.25 a season, the money is less than we originally thought it would be.
