Late Thursday night, the New York Jets announced that effective immediately, running back Le'Veon Bell was no longer a part of the franchise.

Before the start of the 2019 season, Bell signed a four year contract with the team worth up to 52.5 million dollars. Despite the high investment in Bell, the Jets did not receive enough production from the running back or any improvements in the win column. Bell finished his career with the Jets posting 873 yards and three touchdowns in just seventeen games. Fans and media members noticed that following last Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Bell was "liking" tweets criticizing the Jets coaching staff. Following his release, Bell posted this message on Twitter.

The Jets record currenlty sits at 0-5 on the season.
