'Dollar General' Opens Store Location in Latham, New York

A story from ABC News 10 in Albany shared the news that the retail store chain Dollar General was set to open a new location in Latham, New York. The store opened its doors at 638 Columbia Street Extension in Latham, and will be open daily from 8AM-8PM.

As shared by News 10, Dollar General is already working to establish themselves as a staple within the Latham community. The corporation is set to donate 100 new books to a nearby elementary school as part of the location's grand opening.

It's a great gesture by a store, and a company, that is looking to engrain itself within the Latham community. It's one thing to open a store, and simply exist within a city or town. It's quite another, however, to form a partnership with the local community, and this seems to be a first step toward doing just that.
