Mascot Bites The Dust [VIDEO]

The mascot for the Norfolk Tides nearly met his mascot maker after falling off of an ATV on Sunday. 

Man, you talk about a nasty spill.  This is rough!  The mascot for the Norfolk Tides (known as RipTide) hit the outfield dirt extremely hard after falling off of an ATV.  I'm surprised that all of RipTide's organs were still functioning after this rough fall.  This little purple, umm, thing not only escaped major injury, he/she/it managed to walk away virtually unscathed.  The ATV wasn't as fortunate as RipTide.  It sustained a little more damage than ole RipTide.  Good thing because unlike RipTide, there isn't an actual human being inside of the ATV.
