Moss Wants Back In? – Bruce’s Thought Of The Day

T.O...Favre..Tiki..Now Moss. I'm getting bored with these "I am back" proclamations. Randy Moss wants back into the NFL. Hey, that's cool, Randy. Earn a spot, take a lower contract and have it my good man. Isn't life wonderful?

Moss, who "retired" after the 2010 season when he was basically a lawn ornament for the Tennessee Titans, now misses the game. Good for him. The saying is "you don't know what you have 'til you lost it",  and it seems Moss has realized that.

I hope Moss gets back in the NFL..Very gifted player. But I am thinking not many teams will take him seriously or give him a shot basically because of his reputation as being a problem child and  clubhouse pain. Now I would give him a  shot. I am thinking he misses it badly and that he knows the years go by fast and before you know it he is too old and feeble to play. I am thinking he wants back in to prove to himself he can still be great. I like that motivation. I want guys who have something or think they have something to prove.

Ironically, Moss is tied with T.O. for 2nd most TD's in NFL history. He is only 35. I yawn because it is getting old watching guys retire with bitterness or anger- or so it seems- then talk about how much they miss it. I am fine with guys retiring and coming back, even multiple times like Brett Favre did. I say if you can play and want to play then play. Just don't leave the game all bitter and then come crawling back. I hope Moss returns and dazzles. Lets be honest very few WR's carry the juice and excitement that he has. That's a good thing. Yes, if I owned a team I would give him a shot and let him prove he loves the game and wants to play for the right reasons. The first time he whines I cut him loose!
