There's no official word from the Rakuten Golden Eagles that Masahiro Tanaka will not be posted, but according to Wallace Matthews of ESPNNewYork.com, the Yanks are moving past the 25-year old starting pitcher.

“We’ve seen this coming for a couple of days now," said the source, according to Matthews. “So it's not surprising at all."

In the same report, Matthews also suggests that the Yankees are prepared for this to be 'a competition within' from David Phelps, Michael Pineda and Vidal Nuno.
