What did you do this weekend?  Did you watch the NCAA Tournament?  Did you hang out with family?

My weekend was filled with basketball - lots of it - in Glens Falls.  Oh yeah, I also hung out with Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari.

I was working for Time Warner Cable Sports - anchoring coverage of the New York State Boys High School State Championships at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

We did live play-by-play of all five of the NY State Championship games this year.  It was a busy weekend with 3 games on Saturday starting at 5:30pm (Class D, then Class C and finally Class B) followed by 2 more games on Sunday starting at 1:30pm (Class A and then Class AA).

I was at the Sports Desk with YNN's Joe Calderone.  At the desk, we anchored the pre-game show and did analysis, game reaction and interviews in between each game.  In the photo gallery, Joe & I are interviewing Jamesville-DeWitt Head Coach Bob McKenney - who just won his 4th straight Class "A" State Championship.

Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari was also there watching Jamesville-DeWitt junior Dajuan Coleman.  The junior center was named Class "A" Tournament MVP in leading his club to their 4th straight state title.  By the way, I only took a picture with Coach Cal for this story!

It was an action-packed weekend as I got to see 5 New York State champions crowned up close and personal.  Enjoy the photos!
