I never was a big Bill Synder fan, but only a jaded Kansas fan would deny the man his place and his credit. Synder has his Wildcats, from little Manhattan, Kansas, which right now is on top of the college football world with just a few weeks left in the regular season.

Synder's unbeaten Wildcats have two games left and KEY no Big 12 championship game. The Cats overcome a stubborn TCU club 23-10 to claim that top spot. Combined with Alabama's loss to Texas A&M and we have a new title game for now!

The Ducks of Oregon who have two regular season games left and THEN the Pac-12 title game moved up to second in the new BCS standings Sunday night.

The championship for all intents and purposes comes down to three teams, barring crazy circumstances. Notre Dame is the third team and right now hanging at BCS number 3. The Irish come off a tougher then expected win over Boston College.

To digress the Ducks have their two toughest foes left, Stanford and then the civil war game on the road at Oregon State. The Fighting Irish have Wake Forest this coming Saturday then finish with USC.

The SEC, thought to be the best conference in college football, are on the outside looking in for a title team, however the conference does hold down the next six positions in the BCS. Alabama is at #4, Georgia is at #5. These two teams are on course to meet in the SEC title game. LSU is at sixth, Florida is number seven, Texas A&M is number eight, and  South Carolina is hanging at nine.
