Manager Mike Martinez of the New York Collegiate Baseball League's Syracuse Salt Cats won his 182nd game this week. The win now gives him more career victories than any other manager in the forty one year history of the league.

The New York Collegiate Baseball League is currently in its 41st season and is made up of college-age baseball players who play a full summer schedule around New York state. The league has produced major league talent in the form of players like Raja Davis, J.D. Martinez, Jason Motte, Tim Locastro and Hunter Pence.

Capital Region fans may remember franchises including the Amsterdam Mohawks, Saratoga Phillies, and Schenectady Mohawks that all previously won NYCBL championships.

The Syracuse Salt Cats served as my first broadcasting in my career starting with the 2010 in the ECBL and 2011 in the NYCBL. Congrats to Coach Martinez and the franchise on the record!
