Penn State deserved to be in the final four of the College Football Playoff. The Pac-12's Washington Huskies get in ahead of the Nittany Lions with one of the worst non-conference schedules in the entire country. The Huskies played Portland State, Rutgers, and Idaho. That's the definition of non-competitive. Meanwhile, Penn State has won nine straight games, won the toughest conference in college football this season in the Big10, and has a huge win over Ohio State, but somehow gets left out. Having said that, Penn State is still going to the Rose Bowl to play Southern Cal. Pretty good consolation prize for a season that nobody, especially me, predicted would be happening in Happy Valley.
