I spent most of my Wednesday afternoon at Union College in Schenectady and had a great time.  There is a lot of buzz around this team and they have a new first year head coach in Jon Poppe.  I love his energy and he has his team practicing and playing at a very high level right now.  Union should have a very good season.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in the Times Union:
First year head coach Jon Poppe has the Union football team rolling to start the season winning their first two games by scoring 128 points on offense and giving up zero points on defense against Hilbert and Worcester State. The competition gets much tougher on Friday when the Garnet Chargers host 2-0 Springfield in a non-conference game at Frank Bailey Field. The energy Poppe brings to the table is contagious and his players are all bout in.  Union with 5th year senior quarterback Donovan Pacatte from Cobleskill-Richmondville running the show this team under Poppe looks to be a tough out in the Liberty League this season.

Coach Poppe is also a great interview as his he brings great energy and is a brilliant football mind coming from Harvard.  Coach Behrman did a great job too but I am very confident in this team with Coach Poppe in charge.  They are a good team who plays complimentary football and executes in all three phases.  Quarterback Donovan Pacatte is a local kid which I always love and steps up under pressure.  The Garnet Chargers will be legit here in 2023.
