Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist is ready to face the New York Islanders tonight and according to the 11 year vet, the rivalry never gets old.

I feel the same way now as I did the first couple of years. I love to play the New York teams. You can feel the intensity in the building. It means a lot to a lot of people and that affects me when I'm playing. I get more excited, I want to win even more. I love that feeling going into the building.

Lundqvist has faced the Islanders 37 times and has an impressive record of 21-10-5 against the rival.  Ranger fans have loved the rivalry as of late because the Islanders have been one of the leagues worst teams for a few years now.  They have finished in the bottom 5 for the last four seasons and missed the playoffs.  Lundqvist seems to think that will be different and says that the Islanders have a pretty good team right now.

Rangers and Islanders take the ice at 7pm.
