Last night, the debut of Raul Ibanez on Baseball Tonight was a bright spot for MLB on ESPN.

Ibanez was hired by ESPN earlier this week to replace the vacancy left by Curt Schilling.

Schilling was fired last week after anti-transgender comments he posted on social media that did not reflect the the stance of his employer, ESPN.

Ibanez played 19 Major League seasons, debuting in 1996 with the Seattle Mariners and last playing in 2014 with the Kansas City Royals. He also played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the New York Yankees.

You can catch Ibanez as an analyst on Baseball Tonight, Sportscenter, and some ESPN MLB games.
