Cincinnati Reds Draft Local Southpaw Sean Lucas Of UAlbany

Add lefthander Sean Lucas to the list of local ball players drafted by big league teams. U Albany lefty Lucas was selected in round 25-the 772nd overall pick on Wednesday by the Cincy Reds.

The drafting of Lucal marks the 8th player from the Great Danes to be drafted by a major league club. He is also the highest drafted player from UA since 2002.

Lucas came to Albany from Virginia University. He started 14 games for the Danes this past season, osting a 4-6 record and an E.R.A of 5.19. he worked 76 + innings and struck out 53 batters. he tossed Albany's only shutout of the year, blanking Maine 1-0.
