The world of Sports Entertainment lost a legend today, when Joe Laurinaitis AKA "Animal" of the Road Warriors and The Legion of Doom passed away from undisclosed causes. He was only 60 years old and to this day one of my all-time favorite interviews from Radio Row covering the Super Bowl.

Growing up there were members of pro wrestling that were seriously larger than life, and I mean that in a few ways. When the "Road Warriors" AKA "The Legion of Doom" joined the WWE (it was the WWF at the time) I remember my jaw hitting the floor. I was more into Football and Baseball at that point in my life but "Hawk" and "Animal" got my attention. Sadly I never had the chance to meet Hawk but Goz and I got to sit down and interview Joe Laurinaitis AKA "Animal" at Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis Minnesota.

Laurinaitis was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with tag team partner Mike "Hawk" Hegstrand in 2009. Hegstrand passed away in 2003. Goz and I got to speak to Animal about his career, his former partner, and his son former Rams Linebacker James Laurinaitis. Listen to the above interview for all of that and Goz getting put in a headlock by Animal himself. Rest in peace Animal.
