The 2020 UAlbany Men's Basketball season has been so stop and go that even the most optimistic fan was starting to worry we'd never get to this moment where the Great Danes were about to play. The challenges of COVID-19 regulations and testing appear to be in the rearview enough that Saturday's 4 pm tipoff against UMBC is good to go. Coach Will Brown joined Levack and Goz with the details of how we got to the point and how the multiple "pauses" could change his coaching style.

Coach Brown and the Great Danes have yet to play a game meanwhile their opponents the UMBC Retrievers will be playing their sixth contest. Coach Brown is known for his somewhat "Firey sideline demeanor" does he think he'll need to tone that down? You'll hear below in the interview that Brown has already taken that into consideration for two reasons. First off this is a young yet talented team that hasn't had nearly enough time on the court together and second, with no fans there's a decent chance the microphones might pick up any of that colorful language.

My excitement for this game is about as high as it could be and I honestly don't care about the final score. I'm just excited to see and hear the UAlbany Men's basketball team take the court for the first time in well over 250 days. Listen to our full conversation with Coach Will Brown below.
