RPI kicker Andrew Franks is reportedly seeing interest from NFL teams.

The senior led RPI in scoring a year ago with 53 points and broke the school record by kicking a 51-yarder this season. He was a Division III First-Team All-America selection and was RPIs Special Teams Player of the Year in 2013.

DIII kickers garnering pro interest is nothing new. Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka (Middlebury) is a DIII product. And when I was working at Norwich University prior to coming to 104.5 The Team, Cadets kicker Long Ding also received pro interest.

A big hat tip to our friends at ABC 10 Sports, who had Franks on the other day -- and got to test his leg. Watch him hit from as far as 65 yards.
